Smart Terms for Confluence is required, in order to use Smart Terms for Jira.

Once your glossary is created within Confluence, terms will be highlighted thanks to Smart Terms for Jira in the following apps:

  • Jira Software
  • Jira Service Management (JSM)
  • JSM Help desk software - Jira Service Management portal [Cloud]
  • Jira Work Management (JWM)

Smart Terms for Jira highlights terms when the following conditions are met:

  • Smart Terms for Confluence is installed
  • Smart Terms for Confluence browser extension is installed [Cloud]
  • Application Link is established between Confluence and Jira sites [On-premise]
  • Confluence glossaries are selected in Smart Terms for Confluence configuration > Jira

CLOUD ONLY: Organization domain

Smart Terms for Confluence and Smart Terms for Jira have to be installed on the same organization Cloud base URL.

When using the custom domain feature for Cloud products, to ensure term highlight, please use the same custom domain for Confluence and any other products.
