Once your glossary is created within Confluence, terms will be highlighted in the following apps:

• Jira Software
• Jira Service Management (JSM)
• JSM Help desk software - Jira Service Management portal
• Jira Work Management (JWM)

Smart Terms Glossary highlights terms when the following conditions are met:

• Smart Terms for Confluence and Jira browser extension is installed
• Smart Terms Glossary is connected to the Jira app
• Confluence and Jira should have the same organization base URL
• Confluence glossaries are selected in Confluence administration > Smart Terms configuration > Jira

Organization base URL

Confluence and Jira should have the same organization base URL.

As an example for Cloud sites, the following URL has to be identical for Confluence and Jira site: https://<sitename>.atlassian.net

When using a custom domain, to ensure term highlight, please use the same custom domain for Confluence and any Jira products.
