There are two ways to highlight Terms for Confluence cloud :
1. Using the browser extension to automatically highlight terms for all Confluence pages
Please install the appropriate browser extension. Note that the browser extension allows highlight display in Confluence Pages :

Disable "Activate terms highlight" button
Please note that you can disable the terms highlight through the browser extensions and only rely on the "Terms highlighter macro" :
Confluence Admin > Smart Terms configuration > Advanced > Disable highlight through browser extension :
2. Using the "Terms highlighter macro" to highlight terms for specific content
1. Select the "Terms Highlighter" macro
2. Insert your content
3. Terms will be automatically highlighted in the page view
