Why some of my saved Smart Courses links no longer work?
Smart Courses has moved to the new Atlassian Forge platform. As part of this change, the app's web addresses (URLs) have changed. If you saved or bookmarked links to Smart Courses pages before this change, some of those older links may no longer open the page you expect and may instead show an empty page.
Your courses, learning paths, and data have not been lost, but the link format has changed. This page explains what happened and how to update your saved links so they work again.
Is the app broken?
No. If an old link opens an empty page, it is because the link uses the previous address format, not because your content or the app is unavailable. The same content is still there, but you can now reach it through a new address.
Which link still works automatically?
Because of technical limitations with the new platform, only the course player link can be redirected automatically. If you open an old course player bookmark, it will automatically send you to the correct new page, with no action needed on your part.
All other link types (catalog, editors, insights, and learning path player) are not redirected automatically. If you have saved links of these types, you will need to update them using the table below.
Link formats
Use the table below to convert a saved link to its new format. Replace the variable parts, shown in braces such as {courseId} and {spaceKey}, with the same values that appear in your old link.

Replace the following variables with your own values:
- {BaseURL}: your Confluence site address, for example
https://your-site.atlassian.net. - {courseId}: the identifier of the course.
- {pathId}: the identifier of the learning path.
- {spaceKey}: the key of the Confluence space that contains the content.
- {spaceId}: the numeric identifier of the Confluence space.
- {appId} and {environmentId}: internal identifiers used by the new catalog and user dashboard addresses. We recommend navigating to the Confluence sidebar, under Apps, and clicking on Courses to access the catalog.
