Why are courses sometimes missing from the catalog?

Smart Courses uses Confluence Query Language (CQL) to retrieve content from your Confluence instance. CQL is the standard search mechanism provided by Confluence and is managed entirely by Atlassian.

While powerful, CQL has some known indexing limitations that may impact the accuracy and freshness of search results, causing indexing delays, out-of-sync results or search latency. These issues are more likely to occur when creating new courses or migrating to the Cloud.

If you experience inaccuracies in search results, we recommend allowing some time for Confluence to update its search index after making changes. If the issue persists, kindly rebuild your Confluence content index.
